—Frequently asked questions
These are the most frequently asked questions we are asked from the construction and renovation sector.
When is the Investment of the Taxable Person applied in invoices for renovations and works?
The Investment of the Taxable Person can be applied in certain executions of urbanization, construction or rehabilitation work carried out between businessmen or professionals. When the requirements are met, the person executing the work issues the invoice without charging VAT and it is the recipient who must charge it to themselves. We help you review each operation to correctly apply this regime.
What job requirements do I need before starting to work on a construction site?
Depending on the activity and the characteristics of the work, requirements such as registration in the Registry of Accredited Companies (REA), documentation of occupational risk prevention, the Subcontracting Book and specific training of workers may be necessary. We review the necessary documentation with you so that you can start each project with everything in order.
What personal income tax withholding is applied to subcontractor invoices?
The withholding depends on the activity and the tax regime in which the subcontractor is taxed. In certain business activities that are taxed on an objective estimate, a withholding of 1% may apply, while in other cases the treatment is different. We analyse each situation so that both the invoices received and those issued have the correct tax treatment.
