—Frequently asked questions
These are the most frequently asked questions we are asked from the pharmaceutical sector
How is the sale of a pharmacy and its license taxed in personal income tax?
The transfer of a pharmacy can generate a capital gain or loss in personal income tax, calculated from the difference between its acquisition and transfer values. In addition, elements such as the license and goodwill have a specific tax treatment that should be analyzed before carrying out the operation. We help you plan the transmission and know its tax impact in advance.
How does the Equivalence Surcharge work when purchasing stock?
Pharmacies are subject to the Special Equivalence Surcharge Regime on a large part of their retail sales. In these operations, the supplier charges an additional surcharge along with VAT, simplifying the pharmacist's subsequent obligations with respect to that VAT. We review its correct application in your purchases and the taxation of the different activities of your pharmacy.
How is billing settlement with the public health system accounted for?
Billing prescriptions to the public system requires taking into account the different concepts involved in each settlement, including discounts, deductions and user contributions. We take care of its correct registration and accounting balance so that the billing faithfully reflects the income of your pharmacy.
